BRICS is the acronym of an economic and commercial association of five very advanced emerging countries which represent 25% of the world’s GDP. The associated countries are Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.
Currently other countries are asking to join this group, such as Indonesia, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Argentina.
The main objective of the BRICS is to create a world system that is much fairer and more balanced in the relations between countries and independent of American hegemony.
